Bertie currently works in local government but spent 11 years as a teaching assistant at a primary school.  She worked alongside Ross in church youth work for many of those 37 years and is still involved with the youth camp, where she and Ross have only recently stepped down as leaders after many years.  She is passionate that education should be available to all children.

Bertie & Ross have been married for 33 years and work well as a team.
